How to make New Orleans Beignets

New Orleans native Charlie Andrews demonstrates how to make New Orleans Beignets. Beignets are the French term for pastry. They can be made with a choux pastry or a yeast dough. Beignets originated in France but they are mostly common and popular in New Orleans. Cafe du Monde in New Orleans has been making beignets for over 150 years. This recipe calls for 15 beignets that can feed up to 5 people. Even though this is not Cafe du monde style beignets but they are absolutely delicious. Hope you all will give this New Orleans favorite a try.
