Ingredients:

2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast 1 pkt)
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
7 cups plain flour
1/4 cup shortening
1 cup evaporated milk
2 eggs
1/2 cup white sugar (I'd make it 3/4 cup or a full cup)
powdered sugar
Vegetable oil for frying
*Orange zest from 1 med orange (optional) - I mixed this in half of the dough recipe. If you choose to do this add 1-2 tbs of extra flour
** Leave at room temp for 2 hours. Or, you can refridgerate 2-3 days. If you refridgerate, be sure to mix again and allow dough to reach room temperature before rolling/cutting/frying.
**Fry at 360 F
