Originally the Fairfield County Golf Club, it expanded under influential leaders like Julian Curtiss and Edmund Converse before rebranding in 1909. The club has endured multiple fires, including a devastating 1960 blaze that led to the construction of its current Georgian Colonial-style clubhouse.
