Bubi is on High Alert as She Follows Elephants Khanyisa, Timisa & Limpopo! Fishan Tags Along Too

Bubi makes us laugh sometimes… she is always so ready with that eagle eye, shooting dirty looks if anyone she doesn’t quite trust comes too close to Khanyisa. Sometimes this includes Timisa! Bubi has given the young elephant a knock before, letting Timisa know back in 2020 that she was no longer the herd’s baby and had to take a step back to let Khanyisa receive all the attention. Now Bubi has given Timisa a new knock, but unfortunately we didn’t capture it on camera, nor do we know the reasoning behind the incident. But we do know that Timisa went running for the hills, after her scare from Bubi.

In this video, Bubi protectively follows Khanyisa and keeps all eyes on Adine too. Limpopo starts out as the dedicated allomother for this afternoon slot but Bubi clearly is a little extra overbearing and ensures the job is done properly.

Sweetly, the females stay close to Fishan, the father of the herd in many ways as he always watches over the young ones happily, when they’re feeding in the bush. Fishan also shares his paddock in the homestead with all the young elephants and orphans (and Tokwe) and has a close bond with them, especially Timisa.

Timisa and Khanyisa enjoy some cute trunk playtime too.
