Mother & Daughter Elephant Investigate Giraffe Bones | Tokwe & Limpopo!

It’s common to come across the bones of animals past in our reserve since this is the wild and the laws of nature and circle of life plays out daily. Here the elephants feed close to the remnants of a giraffe kill as the animal’s bones are seen under a tree, no doubt left clean by lions and vultures.

Matriarch Tokwe is the first to respond to the bone and investigates it with her trunk, before her mini-me daughter moves in and shows her curiosity for the object too. Limpopo also sniffs out Adine as the pair read their environment around them. Finding no threat, they continue with feeding, side by side.
