YOGA FOR VATA (Slim frame) BODY TYPE WITH MASTER KAMAL
Yoga for vata/small and skinny body type
Yoga according to your Body Type is much more effective and result oriented than just doing yoga without knowing your body type. Understanding your Body Type can help you determine how much exercise you need, as well as the type of activity that would be best suited for you.
Introducing ‘Tri-dosha Yoga’ series for you. The word “tri’ mean 3 and ‘dosha’ means ‘body constitution’. The 3 dosha’s are Vata (air-space), Pitta (fire-water) and Kapha (earth-water). The real way to reach your yoga training goals is adapting your plan to your body type. This video is for Vata body type person.
If you don’t know your Body Type email us at: info@kriyoga.com or you can take ‘ayurveda quiz’ that is available on google
What Vata body type?
They are thin individuals characterized by smaller bone structures and thinner limbs, of a typical endurance athlete. The Vata Body Type person tend to be skinny, with a slender frame and prominent joints, delicate skin that is naturally dry
Vata body type should not exercise in cold weather or in air condition rooms. Vata-balancing sports or exercises require medium pace training rather than exhaustion.
Some examples: low impact aerobics, dance, bicycle, tai chi, stretching, swimming, walking, weight training and yoga
What aggravates Vata?
Exercising in cold weather, eating too many dry or raw foods, over-consumption of ice-cold beverages, exposure to cold dry winds, too much travel, and mental overexertion are the factors that can cause Vata dosha to aggravate. When Vata is imbalanced, a person tends to experience anxiety, insomnia, dry skin, constipation, and difficulty focusing.
