UFO - Obsession Remastered HQ

This album boggled my mind the first time I heard it. Its an album from 1978, but it was engineered and mixed like a modern indy-rock album. Crazyness.
I decided to just run with that thought and remaster it like a modern indy-rock album, messy high end and all. One of the major changes I had to make when doing this on this album was the way I handled the compression. When mastering, I typically prefer to use low ratio/low threshold compression as I feel it sounds more natural because it allows it to kick in earlier. With albums like this that have a lot of room sound, if you do that, it way overhypes the room reverb and it can become washed out mess. So I took a different tack and used stiffer compression but a higher threshold. This allows the reverb to taper off more naturally so it doesn't overpower the instrumentation.
