Soundgarden - Ultramega OK Remastered HQ

This was an interesting one. To be very straight straightforward about it regarding sound... it kinda sucks. It's not horrible or anything, but its pretty rough around the edges. The mixes vary wildly between tracks, as does the overall volume, with some tracks being several db louder than others. There is a super weird EQ curve going on here too because there are certain frequencies that appear to be almost notched out . Its almost like a comb filter. I assume it has something to do with the equipment used to record and/or mix it because there is no reason for that to be happening. The drum sounds change from track to track. There is also rather steep low end shelf taking out most of the content below around 50hz as well. The good news is that most of this was correctable. I mean, its never going to sound like a modern album or anything, but its a lot more even and natural sounding now.
