How to rebatch your old soap and make it into something new 🌱

Do you have too many soap scraps? Or soap you don't like, or cut in a weird, unusable shape? Rebatching is the answer! Learning how to rebatch soap is a great technique and a fun, creative soap-making project. With a slow cooker or double boiler, a grater and some soap - you can make all kinds of interesting rebatch and confetti soap creations! You can use this rebatch method for both hot process and cold process soaps.

In this video, I briefly discuss how to rebatch lye heavy or oily soap. If you plan to attempt this, make sure you do your research and calculations first, and always use safety gear when handling lye or lye heavy soap.

If you would like to add essential oils to your rebatched soap, I would recommend adding at a rate of 3% of the total soap weight. Just stir it through at the end, once the soap has cooled off a little.
