WATCH: If your child is struggling, 'the most important thing' is to ask for help
When a parent watches their child struggle and aren’t sure what to do next, the best thing they can do is to ask for help, Dr. Jack Shonkoff of Harvard University's Center on the Developing Child tells PBS NewsHour correspondent William Brangham. He cautioned that the biggest hurdle is being afraid of getting help and hoping that things will get better on their own.
