France’s most famous landmarks evacuate following several bomb threats
Some of France’s most recognisable and famous landmarks have been evacuated after a number of bomb threats.
18 people have been arrested after a wave of bomb threats across France caused at least 130 flights to be cancelled on Friday after 15 regional airports were targeted.
Visitors at the Louvre were also forced to evacuate last Saturday.
This is while the Palace of Versailles received five threats in one week.
The spate of bomb threats comes as France raised its counter terrorism alert to its highest level following the death of a school teacher in an alleged Jihadist attack.
