‘Activist-driven agenda’: Government ‘persisting’ with phasing out live sheep exports
Australian Livestock Exporters Council Mark Harvey-Sutton says the Albanese government is “persisting” with its policy to phase out live sheep exports.
Mr Harvey-Sutton says this is a policy “not based on science”.
“It’s purely based on politics and an activist-driven agenda,” he said.
“It’s a policy that’s doing irreparable harm to our sheep production industry.
“Producers right across Australia are suffering at the moment.”
