A Student Centered Classroom: Eric Goldstein at TEDxYouth@ColumbiaHeights

Eric is the founder and Executive Director of One World Education, a nonprofit leader that is improving and showcasing publishing student writing about culture and global issues.  The organization then builds standard-based curriculum around the youth writing to create a culture of peer-to-peer learning in middle and high schools.  Eric has been an educator in public, charter, and independent schools and earned a United States Department of the Interior Partners in Education Award while teaching in Southeast Washington, DC in 2006.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
