If You Can Imagine It You Can Create It - 3-D Printing: Ben Wynne at TEDxYouth@SanDiego
Ben Wynne brings to life the idea that if you can imagine it you can create it. Ben shares his passion for 3-D printing and the limitless possibilities this and other new technologies offer for bringing dreams to reality. Ben sees 3-D technology as engineering "magic," with the potential to not only astound the world, but to change it. He believes
that conventional wisdom should be challenged at nearly every step, and that scientists' imagination and creativity are the keys to unlocking technology's true potential. Ben is joined by high school student Mark Liu and his quad copter to demonstrate the power of imagination and maker movement tools of the future.
Ben Wynne is a research scientist and software developer, putting his beliefs to work creating top-secret, next-generation products in the ICS' Reinvention Lab at HP in San Diego.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
