Dozens of cattle were burned alive in their pastures by a massive wildfire that scortched at least 100-thousand acres. Ranchers surrounding paradise not only lost homes but they also lost part or all of their livlihood in the flames. We talked with one rancher who was wearing the only clothes he escaped in and a borrowed jacket as he is rushing to care for his surviving cattle, ignoring his own needs.
