This is a portion of a television program made in the 1950s and presented on what was called educational television. It was part of a series designed to look at 1950s teenagers and what their lives were like. They will largely study the new rising middle class teenagers who at the time, appeared to be living by all of the "rules" that existed in the 1950s for them and how they would become or should become successful adults.

I wonder what happened to all of these people as they lived through the 1960s and had children by the end of that decade. Everything seems to many viewers who have commented on it, how "clean and upright" these students were. Of course they were carefully selected (remember there were rebels at that time including boys who wore leather jackets and girls for tight fitting skirts etc.) to be examples, not only of what teenagers were like but examples of what they should be like.
