Automatic Negative Thoughts and CBT
A lot of our thoughts are automatic and negative. These automatic negative thoughts (ANTs) pop into out heads before we even know we're having them, and exert a powerful effect on our mood. Managing automatic negative thoughts improves our mood, and is a cornerstone of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
