NASA's Albion H. Bowers - "Why Birds Don't Have Vertical Tails" - AMA EXPO 2014

Albion H. Bowers is project manager of the Environmentally Responsible Aviation Project, part of NASA's Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate's Integrated Systems Research Program at NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center, Edwards, Calif. Bowers is part of the NASA planning team that is developing research projects that will promote energy conservation and "green" aviation concepts. As part of that team, Bowers is responsible for defining NASA Dryden's role in the project, including more efficient aerodynamic designs and low-drag laminar flow experiments.
