Keynote Speaker: Lishia Rahman, MS
Counselor, Motivational Speaker and Trauma Survivor

Since 2007, Lishia has worked in the field of mental health, social services, counseling and crisis intervention serving underserved communities. She speaks openly and candidly on how her childhood experiences of trauma and abuse affected and shaped her into adulthood. Since 2012, Lishia has been a collaborative partner with Sacramento County’s Mental Illness: It’s Not Always What You Think project and was awarded the Mental Health Champion Award, which recognizes individuals who advocate and bring awareness to the discrimination and stigma associated with mental illness. Lishia currently works as a Counselor and Professor with Los Rios and Yuba Community College Districts where she brings her personal and professional experiences in social services to the field of academic counseling.
