CRoissants+mUFFIN=CRUFFIN || How to make cruffins at home || Step by Step || Healthy twist
Cruffins are the date between croissants and muffins! It was originally created in 2014 in a small bakery in Austria, latter trade marked by a pastry house in San Francisco, US!
These beautiful desserts are usually made with puff pasty dough and lots of butter! However, in my recipe I have replaced these delicious but heavy for the body ingredients with wholesome once such as apple sauce, honey and olive oil! There is no escape of the while flour here! :)) All these make my cruffins a bit healthier than the regular cruffin!
And here is what you will need for this recipe:
Ingredients:
120 ml. almond milk;
7 gr. fast rising yeast;
90 gr. apple sauce;
65 ml. olive oil;
about 50 ml extra olive oil;
80 gr. honey (can do agave or maple syrup as well);
420 gr. flour (I used cake flour);
make sure that you have about 100 gr. extra just in case;
Definitely serve with some type of filling! Here is what I used:
Fillings:
1. cinnamon paste:
50 gr. date paste;
1 tsp cinnamon;
pinch of cardamom;
2. 30 gr. chocolate chip;
30 gr. raisins;
20 gr. crushed almonds;
3. raspberry jam (for the plane cruffins);
