5 ITALIAN HOLIDAYS Holidays You SHOULD Know 🎄🧙‍♀️👔🥳

Did you know all these holidays?

In addition to international holidays like Christmas and Easter, Italy has a few national festivities:
1. January 6th, Epifania - Epiphany is the last day of the Christmas season and, in addition to religious meaning, also introduces the folklore witch Befana who brings children toys and treats.
2. April 25th, Festa della Liberazione - Liberation Day celebrates Italy's liberation from Germany in World War II.
3. May 1st Festa dei Lavoratori - workers/labor day honors workers in a variety of fields.
4. June 2nd Festa della Repubblica - Republic's Day celebrates Italy's transformation into a republic after World War II.
5. August 15th, Ferragosto, was originally a Roman holiday meant to be a day of rest for farmers before the harvest. It later became a Catholic holiday, and today it marks the peak of the summer vacation season.
