Dynamic Registration Number In Excel Using Formula

*Automatically generate registration number in Excel*
Have you ever created a dashboard for event registration? The first step of that excel project would be generating the unique registration number. Not only that we might add text and symbols with the number to separate it from different registration numbers or other identification number. In this short video tutorial i've created a formula that will generate registration number for you which is automatic and also has both text and number.

The formula is as follows
=LEFT(UPPER(A1),3) & "-" & SEQUENCE(COUNTA(B2:B30))

If you place the formula in cell A2 it will generate serial number upto cell A30. You can change that by changuing the range inside the formula. And your registration Number will Look like this:

REG-1
REG-2
REG-3

Given that you've written registration no in cell A1
