Every August, the Mill Village Volunteer Fire Department stages "Mill Village Fest", an all day extravaganza to raise money towards the fire department's operating costs. Starting at noon, there is a barbecue with non-stop live music under cover. This video shows part of the opening act, Dave Burbine. The live music played non-stop until about midnight. Late afternoon a dinner was served in the fire hall. At 8.00pm a casino opened with games of chance played for fire department scrip. At 10.30pm the scrip was used for a mystery auction with great prizes. The bar was open throughout. If you missed it this year, come back next.
