National clearance rate drops to 54.2 per cent following interest rate hike

REA Group Senior Economist Anne Flaherty claims the interest rate hike and fuel supply crisis could be responsible for the drop in the auction clearance rate.

“I think that's one of the reasons why we’ve seen a bit of a drop in the auction clearance rates,” Ms Flaherty told Sky News Australia.

“We typically see a lot of homes for sale this time of year, and we have seen that, but the clearance rates have moved down.”
