Crazy TURBO Water Slide at Splash Cove Decatur IL

This is the green speed water slide at Splash Cove Water Park in Decatur IL, United States. The slide features a rare drop start without a trapdoor: Guests have to sit on the edge and grab the bar. Once they let go, riders plunge down a curved drop which is fitted with a so-called Fake Slide. This element is supposed to trick guests into thinking to fall off the slide. Usually, Fake Slides are used for regular turns, however, this one is situated within the drop. Unfortunately, you hardly recognize it when the water is running which makes it quite pointless. The entire slide is fitted with translucent light effects. Despite the unfortunate location of the Fake Slide, the slide is super fun and probably one of the most intense slides in the state.
