Tesla Gigafactory Texas 13 December 2021 Cyber Truck & Model Y Factory Construction Update (08:00AM)

Gigafactory Texas on 13 December 2021! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!

One thought is at the forefront when I visit Giga Texas right now… finishing touches. There are so many areas around the main building that are getting what appears to be final touches necessary to sustain initial production. This includes concrete driveways, more windows and wall panels, lighting and more. It’s really great to see!
Meanwhile, there are several new areas of construction and/or earth clearing on many areas on both sides of the main highway. In the video, we see quite a bit of this in a wide-ranging drone flight around most of the areas of interest.
Also, I did an in-depth stand-alone video on 12 December concerning production ramp projections in 2022, based on recent Tesla management news, press releases and historical data. I would recommend you look at that video in addition to this one as there is a lot of great information.
Finally, it is obvious a lot of work is going on inside related to production now. It's exciting to see all the activity and hope to see some Model Y's exiting the factory soon!

Here are the highlights from today's video:
- We start out at the very far southwest corner and see new construction on a possible underground water vault of some kind near the intersection of the new road and highway 973. We then fly eastward across the old hills and pond area and see that they are in fact filling more of this area and flattening it out, a resumption work in this area
- We also look closely at the west foundation area to see what new materials and other activities are taking place.
- On the far south end, we look at the storm water outfall manifolds under the south bridge area and note the large south pond is now full of water, which gives it a more "finished look", if you will. The old temporary ponds are now completely gone, and the area is mostly level between the large pond and the main structure.
- The south end also shows cranes being lowered and prepared for disassembly, more materials going inside the General Assembly structure, perimeter grade beam completion for the stamping extension area and more large truck deliveries.
- On the east side of the stamping machine structure, we see two full bins of test stampings, indicating the progress with calibrating and testing the machines is getting into high gear. We also see more castings being transported via trucks in this general area as well.
- On the north end, we see another crane being disassembled for removal, and several areas of new concrete paving being prepared, including the NW corner a& W side of the battery cell structure, N end of the paint shop structure and the northeast corner of the casting structure.
- The roof over the Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer system continues to see work progressing completing this intricate roof area, and we see more work installing new insulation and linings over the casting structure where it buts up against the paint shop.
- The west side of the General Assembly structure, under the large windows there is work that appears to be making a new perimeter grade beam with reinforced footings, possibly making a main entrance area for the factory.
- On the north side near the electrical switchyard, we see a new installation of underground storm water corrugated pipe along with a large parking area taking shape. I
- On the east side near the new sedimentation basin, we see new tents erected, reminiscent of tents used at Giga Berlin for some early manufacturing supplies and car storage.
- Farther to the east, we see more contractor trailers being placed in the new north clearing area and on the south end, we see more land clearing and dirt filling, making a rather large area that could be used for material storage.
