Turning 200mm steel plate into HUGE hydraulic cylinder rod eye | Lathe machining & boring

This video is of a job we did to turn a 200mm steel plate into a huge hydraulic cylinder rod eye for a Hitachi EX1900 mining excavator. We started with a solid 200mm piece of 350 grade steel plate and got to work boring, facing and lots of lathe machining to end up with a brand new hydraulic cylinder rod eye.
