Carl Swensson: The Early Swedish Immigrant Experience in Central Kansas (Mini Documentaries Project)

Carl Aaron Swensson was one of the first presidents of Lindsborg's Bethany College, and foundational to its early success and ongoing existence today in the city.

This project, "The Early Swedish Immigrant Experience in Central Kansas," was made possible through funding from the Council of Independent Colleges as a part of its program, "Humanities Research for the Public Good." Student researchers from Bethany College worked under the direction of Dr. Tash Smith (Associate Professor of History), Denise Carson (Director of the Wallerstedt Library), and Chad Moore (Director of Academic Services) and in conjunction with Lindsborg Old Mill & Swedish Heritage Museum as community partner.
A new mini-documentary will premiere on the museum's YouTube channel every Friday at 8:30 a.m. Central Time, January 26-March 1, 2024!
