In 1993 AT&T presented a short dramatic movie that featured the logical projections of research at Bell Laboratories. The movie predicted:
1) Touch screen tablets
2) Augmented reality
3) Virtual reality headsets
4) Voice First devices
5) Voice assisted AI
6) Voice Commerce
7) Intelligent assistants
8) Intelligent agents
9) Multi-person video conference
10) Biometric identity verification
11) Transparant video screens
12) Real-time language translation
13) Anthropomorphic voice assisted systems
14) Real-time virtual mannequin
15) Tablet based laptop with two touch screens
16) Real-time credit granting
In 2016 many of the predictions are now taking hold. Particularly Voice First devices, Voice Commerce, Intelligent Assistants, Intelligent Agents, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and two surface touch screen tablets. By 2017 many of these systems will begin to be deployed.
