Brett Cowan's former girlfriend Sarah* has revealed Cowan 'strangled her to the point of unconsciousness', and that he made her 'role play' a kidnapping chillingly similar to how he killed schoolboy Daniel Morcombe. "We stopped at a service station, he told me to get out and pretend that I did not know him and asked for a lift," Sarah told in an exclusive investigation. "He then proceeded to drive away, he came back, I got in the car, on the ride home he said 'you should be more careful who you trust picking you up, don’t you?' and locked the doors, he then proceeded to take me back to the caravan park and pulled me by my hair into the caravan, and proceeded with disgusting sexual acts upon me."
"I now I realise what I [have described] and it makes me sick," she said.
In his chilling confession caught on hidden camera by police, Cowan said he 'never got to molest' Daniel, that he 'panicked and grabbed him around the throat' and before he knew it, Daniel was dead. He said he was 'confident' police 'couldn't pin him for it'. Cowan then drew ‘Mr Big’ a map to where he took Daniel. Chillingly, some years after dumping Daniel’s body, Cowan returned to the scene of the crime with Sarah, his teenage girlfriend. Four days after his confession, Cowan took two members of the ‘gang’ to the farm and led them to the spot where he had left Daniel’s body.
