Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland has a multi-cultural food scene like nowhere else in New Zealand. Over the next few weeks we’re taking you on a round the world food tour via Auckland’s best restaurants. In this video we start our day with some Malaysian breakfast classics- eating roti canai and nasi lemak at a local’s favourite called Uncle Man’s. We share a spot serving up delicious tortas- Mexican sandwiches and hunt down Lanzhou la mian traditional hand pulled beef noodles from North western China. 1. Nasi lemak and roti canal at Uncle Man’s, 277 Karangahape Rd, Auckland CBD, Auckland 1010. Open 7 days 11:00am to 9:30pm.

2. Pierna adobada torta at Miss Torta, 75C Victoria Street West, Auckland CBD, Auckland 1010. Open daily from 11:00am.

3. Lanzhou traditional beef noodles at King Made Noodles, 48 Fort Street, Auckland City. Open 7 days 11:00am to 9:30pm. NB this is a traditional Muslim Chinese dish but the dish served at King Made Noodles is not halal.
