Why are they not in the cycle lane?

Parking in the cycle lane.

Some examples of people parking in (and roadworks blocking) cycle lanes that I observed during 2014. Mostly blocking London's cycle superhighways. When this happens, I have the choice to either merge with the cars in the other lane - likely causing frustration in the driver behind me leading to unsafe overtakes - or ride the narrow line between the stationary cars and the moving cars, risking both the door zone and the left hook at the same time.

Most of these parks are legal on the weekends and most of the footage was filmed on weekends. Don't blame the individual drivers. Blame the laws which allow it and the infrastructure which makes it possible. (Except that second guy. I'm not even mad. That's amazing.)
