Amazing new Greenway lights

The Greenway is open again and it has these new runway style lights along the edge of the path and street lights overhead. They look cool, they increase visibility dramatically and they're practical too. The red running lights show where a path joins the Greenway which is where you are most likely to encounter unexpected pedestrians.

This section is on the Greenway in East London between Barking Road and Prince Regent Lane (A124 and A112).

I have left a small clip of the next section where there are no lights for comparison. I could see better than the impression the camera gives, but nothing like the section with the lights.

More please Tower Hamlets/Newham!

Although it was dark, I thought I also detected some resurfacing work that had been done in this area. The paving stone strips in between the concrete slabs are now smoother with shallower gaps between the stones. Much better to cycle over.
