Während COVID habe ich Deutsch gelernt. Also dachte ich, ich würde versuchen, diesen Vortrag auf Deutsch zu halten.

Bitte entschuldigen auch die Einfachheit dieser Vortrags. Mein Deutsch ist noch nicht gut genug, um komplexere technische Fakten zu erklären.

Today we take a look at the most iconic an recognizable aircraft ever built - Concorde.

This is a recording of another online lecture that I gave.

As increasing time passes since Concorde left service, its easier and easier to forget what an incredible achievement Concorde was. It was and remains the only aircraft ever built that had the ability to cruise at mach 2, for hours, without afterburner, and carrying 100 people.

Although commercially unsuccessful (Although it was operated by British Airways at a profit), I argue in this presentation that the technical achievements and national pride created by Concorde were worth the effort. In addition the Anglo-French program was the genesis of Airbus.
