Carbohydrates -

This video gives a nutshell view of carbohydrates which range from simple sugars to complex sugars. Simple carbs are found in refined sugar, flour, cakes, pasties, most cereals, etc. While fruits contain simple sugars, they also contain fiber that helps from spikes in blood sugar. Whole foods are best. Vegetables have complex carbs, - that is complex sugars which need to be broken down during digestion) as well as other nutrition and have plant fiber. While humans cannot digest cellulous (plant fiber) our guts contain beneficial bacteria that breaks down cellulous into substances our body can use.
