Omurice Recipe | Japanese Bento Box Recipe | Healthy Asian Meal Prep Ep 36.

Hey guys! In this video, we take a look at Japanese Omurice and find ways where we can make it healthier than usual. Omurice is definitely one of those Japanese dishes that you find all over Japanese media, culture, and households. In today's recipe, we try our best to cut down on the carbs and add a ton of protein per meal. Please feel free to like and share if you enjoy the content and let us know how these meals came out!

Ingredient list
Half diced onion
1/4cup diced carrot
1/4cup diced green onion
2T green bean & corn (optional)
Half lbs chicken
3 cup rice
2T oil
1T all purpose flour
2T ketchup
2T Allolose (sugar substitute)
1cup water
1t beef stock
2T soy sauce
1T rice vinegar
Salt & pepper for chicken
6 eggs

1.Chop up chicken for fried rice. Ground chicken can also be used
2. Make the low sugar sweet and sour glaze:
heat the pan,
add 2T oil and 1T flour,
mix well stir until golden brown w/low heat
Add 1 cup water slowly and mix well
2T Allulose
2T soy sauce
2T ketchup
1/2t Beef stock
1T rice vinegar
Mix & boil until it has little consistency for 3-5 min w/low heat
3. Make fried rice
Add oil & Green onion
Add chopped chicken
Salt pepper
Stir fry
Add chopped onion, carrot, any chopped veggies you have
Add rice, season with salt
4. Make egg cover
Add 6 eggs in the bowl, little bit of salt
Stir and strain egg with colander to remove chunks of egg
Heat pan add 1T oil
Make egg pancake to cover fried rice
5. Put the fried rice in the small bowl and put it upside down in the lunch box and cover it with egg pancake.
Pour glaze over omurice
Enjoy!!
