328 Ferrari window regulator

The linear "Fuzzy" drive cable in the regulator was really a good design. The nylon "Fuzz" retains lubricant. It is strong, simple, and direct. After years of use, however, the "Wrapped Spring Steel windings" around the cable wear out and the drive gear sticks or jams. A simple removal and reversal of the cable gives the regulator new life, as the motor gear now rides on previously unused surfaces.
