Hong Kong 4K: Mid Levels, Conduit Road [Part 1 of 2]

We start on Kotewall Road heading west up the hill, until we reach a junction with Conduit Road, at which point we walk east. This neighborhood is a leafy, and much quieter neighborhood than downtown, and is home to some very expensive apartments.

While some of the most expensive real estate is found higher up on the Peak, Mid-Levels remains an affluent area popular among locals and expats. It has some historic touches too -- the stone walls, old trees and narrow winding roads are reminiscent of the colonial era.

Although high up the hill and far from the subway system, an escalator runs through Central to help residents get home from work -- and a bus or a cab to the central business district takes just minutes in the morning.
