NC Career Exploration: State Historian

How do you become the State Historian of North Carolina…and what does that mean?! Join Dr. Darin Waters, State Historian and Deputy Secretary of Archives and History, and hear about his career path and what he does to preserve North Carolina’s rich and diverse history.

The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources covers North Carolina from A to Z and has staff members that can be everything from accountants to zookeepers. Hear from some of these folks and learn about the many different jobs across the Department. The Career Exploration Program introduces unique professions in the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources while helping students consider:
