NC Career Exploration: Park Ranger
Love being outside and exploring some of North Carolina’s most beautiful places? Maybe you’d like working at a state park! Join Lindsey Purvis, Park Ranger at Haw River State Park, to learn more about what a park ranger does and some of the wild experiences she has!
The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources covers North Carolina from A to Z and has staff members that can be everything from accountants to zookeepers. Hear from some of these folks and learn about the many different jobs across the Department. The Career Exploration Program introduces unique professions in the North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources while helping students consider:
- What they like to do
- Where their interests and skills connect
- How they identify themselves within diverse career paths
