The Battle of Zela was a battle fought in 47 BC between Julius Caesar and Pharnaces II of the Kingdom of Pontus.
The King of Pontus revolted against the Romans, while Caesar was being under siege within the city of Alexandria. His revolt turned out to be quite successful while Caesar was absent.
Things came to a conclusion at the Battle of Zela.
