Spitfire Escort Mission in a Hornets' Nest (Spitfire vs. Fw190s)

[IL-2 Sim, Ruhr Campaign, 1944, Spitfire IXe]
Escort mission for 6x P-47 Thunderbolts. Intense 3-dimensional aerial battle, with multiple enemy fighter formations going after the Thunderbolts.

Mission Highlights:
- We spot a formation of 6x enemy aircraft.
- The enemy's high cover element lead, a Bf109G6/AS, executes tactics like I used in my last video (where I flew a Bf109 against RAF bombers): he uses his superior climb and then dives on the P-47s with such speed that I can't catch up before he gets a firing pass.
- My wingman and I destroy him soon after, then must immediately go after 4x FW190A-8s that are also attacking the P-47s.
- One Thunderbolt goes down before we can attack the lead FWs. Once they're dispatched, we must turn back in and deal with the rest.

DEBRIEF
The "Goods":
- Kept a good 3D mental picture of the situation today
- My AI wingman was excellent, if a little too aggressive
- Gunnery was solid

The "Others":
- I could have engaged the Bf109s sooner: I thought they might be escorting their own attackers, but they were actually top cover for the FWs.
- If I had more situational awareness of the FWs, I could have disengaged form the Bf109 and maybe saved a P-47.
