Scanner: The Frontenac 1988 a Captain's first time up the Saginaw River recorded live as it happened

Recorded on August 26th, 1988 my scanner captured a senior captain brining the 730 foot laker FRONTENAC up into the Saginaw River. It was this long-haul skipper's first time to command a vessel up the narrow confines of the Saginaw River. To help him with the task he very wisely called upon the tug F.T. KELLERS to aid in the passage.
This video is more audio than anything else I've published and we get to listen while the captain of the lakeboat asks for and it given plenty of good advice from the skipper of the tug. This is a throw-back to the days when a vessel master navigated largely by experience, and we get to listen while this long-time lakes captain gains some new experience from the tug captain who knows every foot of the river. In the end the master of the big laker sends a nice reward over to the tug crew.
There are a few rough spots in the video as I'm still fighting with the Pinnacle 26 video software. It wants to take the simplest processes and turn them into multi-step chores. This such as over lapping transitions of still images seem to confound the IT people who wrote this nightmare. Thus, I continue the fight.
