Ghost Gear In Kenya
In December 2018, the Olive Ridley Project and Diving the Crab Dive Centre teamed up with concerned local residents Mandy Shackleton (Independent Marine Researcher), Nigel Turner and Denis Moserto to remove a huge ghost net that was smothering an area of table corals on Jadini Reef. It took 7 divers 45 minutes of intense work in difficult conditions to free the coral from its death trap.
