Bartlett Sher's production (here the Met 2009 one) was my first Oeser Hoffmann, and one that is very near and dear to my heart. This is the one that made me fall head over heels for this opera and really got me invested in the relationship between Hoffmann and Nicklausse. I can't imagine someone watching this and not acknowledging that there is something going on between these two. Enjoy this absolutely lovely rendition featuring one of my favorite Hoffmann/Nicklausse duos, Kate Lindsey and Joseph Calleja.
