Xbox 360 won't read discs (flex cable repair)

Xbox 360 won't read discs due to a bad DVD drive. The reason for the failure of the DVD drive was the damage to the laser head cable. Cable repair consists in restoring conductive tracks or replacing it.
The procedure for removing the Xbox 360 drive is as follows:
- First you need to unfasten the hard drive.
- Then pull the front panel at the edges and remove from the latches.
- Using a toothpick, bend 6 plastic brackets around the perimeter through the ventilation holes and remove the right side wall.
- Remove the rubber foot (rear left) . Under it is one of the plastic tabs on the left side wall.
- Carefully remove the left side panel.
- Remove the Microsoft warranty protective film located on the front panel.
- Disconnect the four latches on the front panel.
- Using a special spatula (spudger) or a small screwdriver, carefully disengage all the latches on the rear panel and remove the plastic cover.
- Disconnect the drive tray release button.
- Remove the six white screws on the bottom panel.
- Turn over the console and remove the upper part.
- Unfasten the chrome trim of the drive tray.
- Raise the optical drive, remove the power connectors and the interface SATA cable from it.
How to replace the drive laser head cable:
- Remove the bottom and top cover of the drive by unscrewing the 4 screws from the bottom.
- Extend the drive carriage by turning the carriage ejection shaft clockwise.
- Remove the power cable of the laser head;
- Fix a new laser head power cable;
- Fasten the drive housing in place.
After replacing the laser, you need to connect the drive to the console and check the operation of the discs.
With satisfactory operation of the drive, assemble the attachment in the reverse order.
