NRM mobilisers accuse presidential advisor of not paying them

What began as a closed-door crisis meeting in a Rukungiri hotel is now threatening to spill onto the streets, after dozens of National Resistance Movement (NRM) mobilizers accused Senior Presidential Advisor on Agriculture Peace Rugambwa of withholding over 200 million Shs in unpaid campaign allowances from the 2026 General Election campaigns. The disgruntled mobilizers, drawn from 12 districts across southwestern Uganda, say they were recruited to canvass support for President Museveni and NRM flag bearers but were abandoned after completing the gruelling 15-day door-to-door exercise—claims Rugambwa has dismissed as a calculated smear campaign aimed at tarnishing her name.#NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition
