In this week’s video, I make a simple jig for eliminating snipe problems on my thickness planer. This jig requires a 3/4” 2 foot long piece of melamine and some scrap 3/4 plywood and some wood glue. It very much resembles a bench hook. The melamine offers a better, smooth surface and better stability as boards feed through the thickness planer. This is one of the easiest jig s to make and by far, one of the most useful.
