How I weather the tools and tow cables, jack and other detail parts of model tank kits.

Since I paint almost everything by hand, I do all these detail parts last after the project is pretty much complete, then they go on before the decals and weathering of the subject. So here is what I do to get the look I want, most of this detailing I just started doing in the last 5 years, even though I have been building models for over 30 years. I just didn't take the time to do it before, being in the military it was all about building a kit as fast as I could in what little free time I had. This as well as the exhaust video I did last is part of the 1/35 Scale Type 4 Chi-To Model Kit build.
