Queenless Middlegames Be Like

Chess Lore #9 | Queenless Middlegames Be Like...

In this exciting chess game, my opponent started out with 1.d4 and we somehow ended up in the Austrian Defense (1.d4 d5 2.c4 c5). Typically, Black is the one who initiated the Austrian Defence against the Queen's Gambit but here White did it through transposition. We immediately traded queens and went into a Queenless middlegame. Most people don't like such immediate endgames or queenless middlegames but it could still be very exciting and dangerous.

ABOUT THIS SERIES
I share my thought process during my games and share practical chess strategies, chess techniques, chess concepts, chess tactics etc. and hopefully, you learn a thing or fifty from me ;-) feel free to ask whatever questions you might have and I'd do my best to respond to as many as possible.

I believe this is a good way to learn to play chess, watching one "chess strategy for beginners and intermediate players" might not help very much but seeing how these ideas and concepts are applied in many different ways and positions is what makes it stick and that's the main goal for this channel.
